Tour N*10 ............... Jebel Rum - West-East traverse ….............
The summit of Jebel Rum is simply magic. Being up there with the 360-degrees open view on an ever changing desert is something you will never forget. From the village we'll drive by jeep around Jebel Rum (half hour). We'll get to the west side of the mountain where our hike upon the mountain starts, along the traditional Bedouin route, called the Nabataean route. This hike doesn't require knowledge of climbing, but for some moves you need the help of your guide. After reaching the summit we shall go down by another way, more recently discovered, on the east side: Hammad's route; it was climbed for the first time in the 80's by a Bedouin from Wadi-Rum. On our way down we will make some abseils and we shall arrive right in the village.
the way up will likely take us 4 hours the way down will also take about 4 hours difficulty: long scrambling (grade III)
price : 1 person : 110JD 2 persons: 140JD 3 persons: 170JD 4 persons: 200JD
Tour N*11
Jebel Khazali summit is much more accessible than Jebel Rum, the way up and down is shorter, without abseils. Nevertheless it remains a scramble, a guide is needed because it is a mountain to be taken seriously. This being said the Eastern summit of Khazali we propose you to climb, is beautiful. Khazali Mountain stands south of Jebel Rum, it feels like a huge cube landed in the sand and once up there you get exceptional views on the Jebel Rum summit and the desert surroundings.
the way up will likely take 3 hours the way down will take about 2 hours difficulty: scrambling (grade III)
price: 1 person : 70JD 2 persons: 90JD 3 persons: 110JD 4 persons: 120JD
Tour N*12
Jebel Um Adami is situated some 40km south of Wadi Rum right above the Saudi border. To get there, driving through the ever changing desert of Wadi Rum is a beautiful journey by itself. The hike upon the mountain is quite simple, and the panorama at the top is surprising. Jebel Um Adami is situated on a geological border and the contrast between the Rum landscape and the view towards Saudi Arabia is stunning.
by jeep 2 hours each way the way up will likely take 1 hour and a half the way down will also take about 1 hour and a half difficulty: walk
price : 1 person : 60JD 2 persons: 80JD 3 persons: 90JD 4 persons: 100JD 5 persons: 110JD 6 persons: 120JD
note: this is a half day tour which can be combined with other short tours (ask me for more details)
Tour N*13
One of the most photographed landmarks of the Rum area, the arch of Burdah, makes a nice introduction to the scrambling world of the Bedouin routes, and is definitely a beautiful place to be. The arch is situated above a canyon and the views from there are wide-extended.
by jeep 40 minutes each way the way up will likely take us 1 hour the way down will also take about 1 hour difficulty: easy scramble
price : 1 person : 45JD 2 persons: 70JD 3 persons: 80JD 4 persons: 90JD 5 persons: 100JD 6 persons: 110JD
