As the sun sets, we'll head to our traditional Bedouin camp to celebrate the evening in true Wadi Rum Nomad style. Enjoy an evening of live Bedouin music and international songs beneath the starry desert sky. And when midnight strikes, we have a special surprise to mark the beginning of the new year.
Start the New Year with an Adventure
After a cozy night's sleep, you can choose how to start the new year:
- Take a 1- or 2-hour camel ride to explore the desert.
- Join another full-day tour to discover even more of Wadi Rum’s hidden treasures.
No matter which option you choose, you'll leave with unforgettable desert memories that will stay with you forever.
A Magical Day in the Desert
On December 31st, we organize two full-day tours that begin from our office in Wadi Rum village.
- Choose a jeep tour to explore Wadi Rum's iconic landmarks.
- Opt for a desert tour that ventures into quieter, lesser-known areas in the southeast of the protected area.
Both options promise a remarkable day filled with exploration and adventure.
- Groups are kept small, with a maximum of six guests, ensuring a personal and intimate experience.
- Private tours are available for larger groups of six or more.
During the day, you’ll:
- Discover ancient inscriptions and drawings.
- Walk through stunning canyons.
- Climb sand dunes for spectacular views.
- Enjoy breathtaking vistas over Wadi Rum’s famous red and yellow desert.
At midday, we pause for a traditional Bedouin lunch served at a quiet, picturesque spot. After recharging, we’ll continue exploring until late afternoon.
Watching the Last Sunset of the Year
By the end of the day, all groups will gather at Um Sabatah, a peaceful place in the south of the Wadi Rum protected area. Here, we will witness the last sunset of the year together.

- Enjoy a warm cup of sweet Bedouin tea as the sky changes colors.
- Reflect on the past year and dream about the new one ahead.

After dinner, the celebration continues with music and dancing:

- If the weather allows, we take the party outdoors to dance beneath the star-filled sky.
